Back to School Dinner

Our annual Back to School Dinner was a enjoyed by all. We had the traditional Chicken Bakes, but this year switched out green beans for corn on the cob and the critics cheered. We drank sparkling cherry 7-up from our Fancy Nancy glasses and ate by candle light. Shaun and I were impressed at how reverently the kids sat as they all got Father's blessing for the new school year. Even Sadie Jane was excited and wanted to have her turn getting a blessing. I think they were just feeling extra mature after our special dinner. ;) The kids really love this tradition and we enjoy celebrating their sucess as they progress in school.

What a great tradition! And I am glad that you are posting again. Your kids are so grown-up all of sudden, I almost didn't recognize them.
